North Texas Jackrabbit Track Club is a non-profit organization established in 2008 by Sheila and Omar Stoutmire in Prosper, Texas.
Sheila Stoutmire began her track career at age 7 in Long Beach, California and later earned a full scholarship to LSU, where she was part of four national championship teams and earned five All-American honors. Omar Stoutmire played 11 seasons in the NFL after being drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in 1996.
Following his retirement, the Stoutmires founded the Jackrabbits with the goal of building a family-centered, high-performance track program.
Competitive Background
The program began competing at the recreational level before advancing to AAU competition and eventually expanding into both AAU and USATF platforms.
Jackrabbits emphasize a family-like environment built on the values of Faith, Family, Focus, and Fast, while prioritizing athlete enjoyment alongside competitive excellence.
